A Novel 10 MHz-4 GHz Wilkinson Power Divider Using Lumped Compensation Elements

Future cable television (CATV) and satellite-television receiver systems require the development of wideband power dividers (PDs) covering a few megahertz to gigahertz. Conventional PDs designed using either distributed circuits or lumped elements cannot accomplish this purpose. In paper, novel ultrawideband PD is developed with combined design both transmission line Wilkinson divider (WPD) compensation elements. The WPD at 2.2GHz small configuration, while loaded chip resistors capacitors compensate its performance well frequencies down megahertz. configuration method proposed described, microstrip fabricated measured. simulated measured responses agree over 10MHz∼4GHz, satisfy specifications.
